Fashion Stewards of the Land

May 20, 2021

For many around the world, the link between fashion and agriculture is all but lost. However, with cotton, wool, rubber, leather, hemp and more coming from agricultural products, the fashion industry relies heavily on land. While in the food industry, more and more companies are seeing the importance of regenerative agriculture to restore soil, biodiversity and climate, the discourse in fashion is still just beginning.

Leaders in the fashion industry are showing us that through openness, research, and collaboration, they can develop supply chain systems whereby farmers are supported to put in place better agricultural systems. These regenerative systems rebuild soil health, enabling it to draw down carbon from the air and fostering biodiversity.

In this white paper you’ll read the insights, experiences and learnings shared during our expert round table Fashion Stewards of the Land, for which we brought together a select group of pioneers driving regenerative solutions for the fashion supply chain.
